Design Village is the biggest outlet mall in Malaysia with a 24-acre lush garden in Batu Kawan, Penang.

 

A forest-themed mall, our design intent was to allocate more greenery to cool down the tropical heat for visitors and shoppers. Shady, wide-open spaces and resting benches were used throughout, allowing for events and activities. Natural and artificial materials were planned to ensure easy maintenance, comfortable surroundings and proper wind circulation.

 

The Design Village Mall won an Honour Award at the 2017 Malaysian Landscape Architecture Awards.
